Going for a test drive is a great way to fully experience everything that a new vehicle has to offer and is arguably the most exciting part of shopping for a new car. But before many North Reading drivers come down to our dealership for a test drive they do a little research and check out what the competition has to offer. This is a great way to ensure you are getting the right vehicle for you with all the features you are looking for and a price you want to pay. So to help our customers easily find the information they are looking for all in one place we have done the hard work of comparing two of the top competitors to the 2018 Subaru Impreza in all of the ways that matter most.

The 2018 Subaru Impreza VS The Honda Civic

We often hear from many of our customers in the Boston area who are thinking of getting behind the wheel of a new Subaru Impreza are also considering the Honda Civic. The Honda Civic is one of the Impreza top competitors but the 2018 Subaru Impreza still outshines the Civic in a number of ways.

  • When the snow starts falling one thing that every New England driver will want their vehicle to have is all-wheel-drive and this is the first place where the 2018 Impreza leaves the Civic behind. The Honda Civic is available with a less capable all-wheel-drive system for an additional cost. But every 2018 Subaru Impreza comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive that provides unmatched traction, control, and stability.
  • Advanced safety features and safety ratings are two major selling points for drivers deciding between two different vehicles. Again, the 2018 Impreza outshines the Civic with more advanced safety features and higher safety ratings. The Impreza is available with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology that includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, and Pre-Collision Throttle Management. The Civic only features some of the same features but not all.
  • No one wants to pay more for less and the 2018 Impreza is the better buy for its long-lasting quality, number of standard features, and all for a lot less than the Honda Civic. The 2018 Impreza comes standard with STARLINKâ„¢ 6.5-inch Multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Bluetooth wireless streaming and USB port. The Civic only features a with a 5-inch screen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will cost you extra on more expensive trim levels.

The 2018 Subaru Impreza VS The Toyota Corolla

Another top competitor of the 2018 Subaru Impreza is the Toyota Corolla and once again the competition can't compare.

  • Lawrence drivers want to get behind the wheel of a new vehicle that is fun to drive and is also fuel efficient. Both of which the 2018 Impreza does better than the Toyota Corolla. The Corolla is powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder engine with 132 horsepower and gets 32 highway and 28 city MPG. While the Impreza is more powerful and fuel efficient with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that generates 152 horsepower and gets up to 38 highway and 28 city MPG.
  • Interior space matters to many Medford drivers and this is another way the 2018 Impreza shines brighter than the Toyota Corolla. The Impreza is available as a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback, both with more interior space than the Corolla. Which is only available as a four-door sedan. The Corolla only has 97.5 cubic feet of passenger space and a 13 cubic feet of trunk space. The Impreza sedan has 99.8 cubic feet of passenger space and the hatchback offers 100.9 cubic feet with 55.3 cubic feet of maximum cargo space.
  • When it comes to adventure the Subaru Impreza is better equipped than the Toyota Corolla. The Impreza comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, roof crossbar mounting points, and available Active Torque Vectoring for enhanced performance. The Corolla isn't available with roof mounting points or Active Torque Vectoring and all-wheel-drive will cost extra.
